Alabama Music Heritage Archive
The Alabama Music Heritage Archive documents Alabama music through oral histories, photographs, recordings, documents, and related materials.
Our Mission
The Alabama Music Heritage Archive documents and preserves stories and materials related to Alabama music.
Founded by Darrell McIntyre, the Archive gathers oral histories, photographs, recordings, documents, and personal accounts shared by musicians, families, and communities.
The Archive provides a place to learn about Alabama music and the people connected to it.
The Alabama Music Heritage Archive is being developed as a permanent historical record into published print book editions and an audiobook project. The Gulf Coast Volume 1 project is planned for publication in print book editions and as an audiobook.
