The Three Books

The Alabama Music Heritage Archive is guided by three foundational volumes that together form one institutional system — conscience, authority, and practice.

"Every Voice Has a Story. Every Story Deserves Preservation."

— Darrell McIntyre, Founder

Institutional system

One institution. Three volumes.

Book One provides conscience — recording why the Archive exists and the principles that must endure across generations. Book Two provides authority — establishing governance, legal structure, and the rules under which institutional decisions are made. Book Three provides practice — explaining how the mission is carried out in interviews, programs, partnerships, sponsorships, records, and community work. The three books should be read as one system.
